JSON Size Analyzer
Find out what makes a JSON payload heavy. The analyzer reports total bytes, nesting depth, key and value counts, a type distribution, string byte share, and the single heaviest key by serialized subtree size, which is usually where the optimization win hides.
JSON
Ready. Press Analyze.
How to use the JSON Size Analyzer
- Paste a JSON document.
- Press Analyze.
- Review the report and the heaviest key.
Example
Small sample, but the report format stays the same for large payloads.

}Frequently asked questions
What counts as the heaviest key?
The key whose value serializes to the most bytes, measured on its subtree. It often reveals embedded blobs or repeated data.
Does it measure minified or pretty bytes?
Total bytes are measured on the minified form, so the number reflects transport size, not your formatting.
